The Serra da Arrábida, which is part of the Arrábida Natural Park, consists of a rugged and steep relief located on the north bank of the Sado river estuary, in the municipality of Setúbal, with the highest point at 501 meters of altitude and peculiar characteristics of climate and flora. With its Mediterranean climate, it has a flora rich in Mediterranean species, such as holm oak, cork oak and oak. The Arrábida Natural Park, founded in 1976, with an area of approximately 10,800 hectares, and the beaches protected by the mountains, with calm and transparent waters.
Sesimbra clearly has the charm of a land of sea people. A walk through the narrow and steep streets allows us to observe this through the marine motifs that decorate the houses, don't deny that we are right in the center of a fisherman's land.
